Midtown crews requested a 2nd alarm when they saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the 24th floor of this Yonge & St.Clair hi-rise. Initial reports were that a teen-aged male was trapped on the balcony, but when P311 and P312 crews tried to gain entry they found the door heavily barricaded. Crews were finally able to force entry, and a 15 year old male was removed to ambulance. The apartment sustained heavy damage to the kitchen and a bedroom, and a female in the apartment above was treated for smoke inhalation. The 15 year old victim is to face questioning on arson charges.

  1. First of all the boy is, 12 not 15 so it is a minor. If he is charged it should not be allowed to show his face. The teenager in Jane Creba was 17 and nobody knows how he looks.

  2. Minor? If he did set fire to the place being a minor shouldn't even factor into it. Many could have been hurt or killed, including FF's.
