Vehicle Accident With Entrapment

Pumper 212 arrived on the scene of a vehicle accident on Sheppard Ave. east of Morningside and found an unconscious person trapped in his vehicle. The victim had driven his SUV into the path of a TTC bus while exiting a fast food restaurant. With the help of Rescue 214, crews freed the victim and began CPR, but unfortunately the injuries proved fatal.

Car 23 pulled a 2nd enroute after reports of flames and heavy smoke, and station 213 arrived to find a well involved fire on the first floor of this townhouse, part of a retirement complex near the Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital. Pumper 213 stretched a couple of lines in the front door, and Aerial 213 laid one up to the roof to bring this fire under control. An unconscious female was found and transported to the hospital across the street.

Pumper 226 was first to arrive on the scene of this commercial block at Victoria Park and Danforth and requested a 2nd alarm when they found a small grocery store fully involved. The fire was brought under control with two lines stretched off P226. Pictures by Kevin Hardinge.
