Rescue 225 arrived at this residential structure to find heavy smoke conditions and stetched a couple of lines to quickly knock down the fire. A male victim was located and removed with no vital signs. Firefighting efforts were hampered by holes in the floor of the structure.

Responding units: Pumpers 212, 234, Rescue 214, Aerial 215, Car 21

Aerial 215, first in at a residential fire on Long Island Cres. in the Port Union Rd. and Lawrence area. The fire was contained to a second floor balcony and was caused by Christmas lights. Although the fire was knocked down quickly, Aerial 215 and Rescue 214 had about an hours worth of overhaul checking for extension into the house.
